PCME-Paraben Certified Mobile Examiner

Paraben's Certified Mobile Examiner is the premier industry
certification for mobile forensic examiners encompassing the
qualities and standards that bring about the best quest for
truth in mobile devices. Mobile forensic examiners are faced
with more and more types of digital evidence that come from a
variety of devices. The PCME keeps this in mind and has
different tiers of knowledge levels that are required to
complete the certification.
Requirements to become PCME Certified
- Complete
and pass Handheld
Forensics - Level 1 or its approved
equivalent**.
- Complete
and pass Advanced
Cell/SIM Card Forensics - Level 2.
- Complete
and pass Cellular/GPS Signal
Analysis - Level 3.
- Complete
and pass a written examination with a proctor present.
- Complete
and pass four practical applications of associated mobile
devices.
- Six
months of practical experience with devices that can be
verified through written documents from a supervisor or
equivalent.
- Recertification*
required every 2 years from date of completion.
- Certification
fee of $395.00 U.S. and $195.00 to renew every two years.
- All
courses and tests must be passed at 85%.
